Just a few days before its Seedrs initiative comes to an end, UK-based bicycle retailer Velorution has successfully secured nearly £625,000. The company launched the campaign nearly two months ago with a mission to raise £500,000 for its London and South East expansion.

Velorution 1As previously reported, Velorution describes itself as one of London’s leading premium urban cycling retailers. It is looking to bring innovative and unique cycling products to customers, which are known as “Velorutionaries.”

“We constantly seek to surprise, delight and satisfy our patrons by curating the most superb and select range of urban cycles, apparel and accessories.”

Funds from the initiative will go towards opening more stores across London and the South-East and increase the circulation of our Velorution magazine. During a recent update, the company announced that it has acquired Mosquito Bikes.

Jonathan Cole, managing director of Velorution, stated:

Velorution“As part of our expansion plans we are about to Velorutionize Islington with our acquisition of the assets of this  30 year old iconic bike store. The blend of Velorution’s Urban lifestyle with Mosquito’s famed specialist bespoke bike building and fitting skills will make a compelling offering to our customers as we expand our stores around the Capital. The Islington Essex Road store is a stones throw from the City and perfectly positioned for us to service our north London customer with our unique range of products. The store is currently being refitted to match the Velorution look and feel and will reopen later this month.”

The campaign is set to close this Sunday.
