Truflation Supports Crypto Accessibility Platform to Bring Inflation Data to Visually, Hearing Impaired

Truflation, the independent, real-time inflation data aggregator, has partnered with Haptics DAO, a “decentralized” voice command platform that uses audio and haptic feedback “to help visually and hearing impaired users access wallets, trade cryptocurrencies, and explore price feeds and inflation data.”

The Haptics DAO project claims it is “championing inclusivity by providing users with visual and hearing impairments a mode to access and follow inflation movement through voice command, audio playback and Haptic Feedback – the use of touch, like vibration and other tactile sensations, to communicate with the users.”

Stefan Rust, Truflation Founder and CEO said:

“Truflation is all about bringing data to everyone and enabling mass adoption across web2 and web3. That’s why we support projects like Haptics DAO that expand that accessibility even further.”

Mona Rassouli, the co-creator of Haptics DAO said:

“An estimated 15% of the world has some kind of disability. There are millions of individuals globally who are unable to access and benefit from DeFi and the Web3 space due to a lack of accessibility. In the spirit of inclusivity that permeates the Web3 and blockchain space, Haptics DAO effectively removes existing barriers allowing virtually anyone in the world unfettered access to DeFi. We believe crypto and digital payments are an inevitability. We do not wish to see millions of people get left behind. We believe accessibility should be designed from the beginning, not as an afterthought.”

The Haptics DAO novel platform is “backed by Chainlink, Truflation, and in October, won a builders #WAGBI grant with Alchemy and an Ethereum Foundation grant for further accessibility research.”

Truflation will “provide the inflation data to the Haptics application.” The decentralized APIs make it possible “for users who are blind or visually impaired to learn more about historical economic situations and to infer any conclusions or patterns from the data.”

With the help of the Truflation data aggregation suite of APIs, Haptics DAO users “can access compilations of past and present rates in the US economy, including but not limited to inflation rates, price indexes, and other inflation categories like food or housing.”

The Haptics DAO platform “consists of four components: Dashboard, DAO, Dex and Haptics Truflation.”

The dashboard “serves the latest crypto prices using Chainlink..” The DAO “enables users to create and vote on community proposals.” The DEX allows users “to trade crypto using voice and text commands.” And the Truflation section “shares independent daily inflation data with the Haptics DAO users.”

The Haptics DAO creators “are now working on expanding accessibility features to people with other disabilities.”
