Online investment platform SyndicateRoom has distributed an update on its performance. According to an email, SyndicateRoom’s Access Fund 2020 cohort is up 45%, not including tax reliefs or loss reliefs. Tax benefits may include EIS/SEIS programs that mitigate risk and could reduce any capital gains.
SyndicateRoom states that a £5000 investment made in 2020, it would be worth approximately £6730.60 – at least on paper.
The company also provides insight into the 2021 and 2022 cohort, with the first being up 24% and the latter “flat.”
While the numbers are encouraging, they remain estimates and are not realized until there is an exit opportunity and as well all know – things can and do change over time.
SyndicateRoom offers smaller investors to access promising private firms that have been backed by noted angel investors or VCs, as these investors can be a decent indicator of potential performance.
