European Embedded Finance Platform Solaris Releases Sustainability Report

Solaris, Europe’s embedded finance platform, published its first sustainability report, detailing sustainability performance and activities covering the entirety of 2022.

Following the implementation of Solaris’ ESG strategy titled ‘Nature, People, Business’ (NPB) last year, the report “highlights key steps that the organization is taking to continually improve its sustainability performance.”

The report also “outlines Solaris’ ongoing commitment to diversity, inclusion, gender equality and employee satisfaction at all levels of the group.”

As part of this focus, a major initiative “called ‘Futura’ was launched last year, a women’s network that aims to boost representation within Solaris to at least 30 percent women at all levels by 2024.”

Alongside this, the group “increased investment into social and green bonds and supporting employees for volunteer and charity campaigns.”

Carsten Höltkemeyer, CEO Solaris SE, said:

“Taking responsibility for people and the environment in our workplace is something I take great pride in. Our Nature, People, Business framework has sustainability at its very conception and forms a vital part of our business strategy. By acting together with our stakeholders, we are committed to drive positive change.”

As noted in the update, Solaris claims it is Europe’s leading embedded finance platform.

Solaris’ proprietary modular B2B tech stack and scalable licensing system “empowers its partners – from large global non-financial companies to innovative fintechs – to offer unique, customer-centric financial services.

Providing seamless experiences to customers across all industries. Founded in 2015, Solaris pioneered “the Banking-as-a-Service market with an unparalleled combination of tech and banking services.”

Today, the banking and EMI-licensed tech company “employs more than 800 people at ten locations in Europe and India, with net revenues of approximately €130 million in 2022.”
