Crowdcube, one of the largest investment platforms in the world, has posted a brief update on its operations during the month of August.
According to an “X” (previously a Tweet), during the month of August:
Wombat raised the most amount of funds, booking £2,963,608.
3ti Energy Hubs reported the most individual investors at 2314
Almost 7700 investors “attempted” to invest over £12.4 million. The attempted probably means rounds that were not successful or did not fund for other reasons.
Food and beverage was the most popular sector, attracting 1,457 investors and over £3.75 million.
Additionally, according to the Crowdcube website, £10.8 million was invested last month from 21,540 individual investments.
Since 2013, more than £1 billion has been invested via the Crowdcube platform.
