Real Estate Investing: CapitalRise Tops £159 Million in Returns to Investors

CapitalRise, an online property investment platform, is reporting that it has returned over £159 million to investors since 2016.

CapitalRise focuses on superprime property investments in the UK – typically central London. The £150 million hurdle was topped following a £9 million senior bridge loan on a Surrey mansion, according to a note from the company.

CapitalRise claims the returns generated for investors over the past seven years is emblematic of their expertise and the “conscientious approach taken with all investment opportunities offered, only working with carefully selected borrowers on top-quality projects in the most desirable locations.”

Capital Rise Head of Origination Lee Francis, Head of Origination, CapitalRise, said the most recent loan was particularly attractive to investors, largely due to its location in St. George’s Hill. While their focus has been on Prime Central London, they continue to expand the range of investment opportunities offered to include those in the Prime Outer London and the Home Counties. Francis said prime properties continue to show resilience and they have a strong pipeline of upcoming investment opportunities for investors.

CapitalRise CEO and founder Uma Raja said the redemption milestone is indicative of a strong trajectory for the investment platform.

“As an investment firm built by developers, we have a unique understanding of prime property finance, and our expertise within the technology sector has enabled us to create a highly accessible investment platform. From the deep prime property development expertise of our origination team, to our highly skilled underwriters, I am confident that we will continue to build on this outstanding success.”
