Cross-Border Payments: Bitso Business Chosen By Chile’s Andean Wide

Andean Wide —an international payments technology platform— announced that it has chosen Bitso Business —the Bitso B2B segment supporting the technology of cross-border payments— as its infrastructure solutions provider “to apply blockchain technology and expand its cross-border offerings with greater efficiency.”

Andean Wide is a Chilean company that mainly “serves other businesses, import-export companies and freelancers in the southern cone, offering them collection and payment services to support their international expansion and enable them to send and receive money to or from other territories.”

Thanks to this project with Bitso, Andean Wide’s operation will “have an impact on companies and retailers in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, among other markets, and it plans to continue expanding its services progressively to other countries.”

José Chávez, CEO of Andean Wide, said:

“We chose Bitso because of the level of its services, reputation and, above all, the innovation in the technological solutions they have provided us with. The work we have done together allows us to offer Andean Wide clients new technological tools that optimize their operations and drive their expansion, which is key to boosting business development in Latin America.”

Gabriele Zuliani, Director of Bitso Business, noted:

“At Bitso we constantly seek to positively impact our clients’ operations with innovative infrastructure solutions that help them achieve their business objectives. The case of Andean Wide is the perfect example of a company that demonstrates how blockchain technologies are useful and can help facilitate cross-border digital payments.”

Blockchain technology helps to “improve cross-border operations, as during the transaction it is possible to select the digital currency that is most easily converted at the moment, which guarantees faster speed and the lowest price.”

As a technology infrastructure provider, Bitso has “helped several companies to expand their services, by using Bitso’s connection to local payment systems.”

Bitso has more than 1,700 institutional clients, “among which have been adopting different payment solutions to automate operations and mass deposits, as well as the tools for international transfers and payments.”
