Prediction markets have proven to be pretty effective in anticipating the outcome of various types of events. A huge event, at least in the US, is taking place this Sunday as the Super Bowl will kick off at 630PM ET in Santa Clara, California.
This year, for Super Bowl LX, we will have the Seattle Seahawks (16-3) battling the New England Patriots (17-3). According to prediction markets and just about everyone else, Seattle will be victorious.
Polymarket currently shows the Seahawks at 69% and the Patriots at 32%, with over $11 million in betting volume.
Kalshi is about the same with the Seahawks at 68% and the Patriots at 33%, with a whopping $167 million in trading volume.
Coinbase, relatively new to the prediction marketplace, has the Seahawks at 68% and the Patriots at 33% with $3.4 million in volume.
If the Patriots prevail, it will give the team a record-breaking 7th Super Bowl victory. The Seahawks are looking for their second trophy.
The point spread is currently Seahawks at -4.5.
