Crowdcube & Seedrs Success Pod Point Announces New Initiative With Global Real Estate Service Provider Savills

POD Point announced on Wednesday it has formed an initiative with global real estate service provider, Savills. The company reported that the new partnership will encourage electrical vehicle (EV) charging across Savills’ managed retail parks and shopping centers throughout the UK.

The POD Point team revealed:

“Savills recognises the positive part EV infrastructure will play in attracting new visitors to its client’s retail locations. Encouraging sustainable practices is a central part of its strategy to improve the overall visitor experience at the out-of-town retail parks and shopping centres it manages. As the emerging EV market continues to build momentum, not only is it important to Savills that its client’s retail destinations are accessible, but that they also adapt to the latest innovations supporting sustainable travel.”

The Savills’ initiative comes almost two months after POD Point secured £1.5 million through its third equity crowdfunding on Crowdcube. As previously reported, POD Point designs and manufactures electric vehicle (EV) charge points that can be used in the home or for public use. Its charge points are connected to the startup’s cloud-based management system, which enables recurring revenue from the network. Since POD Point’s launch, it has supplied over 44 million miles through its ecosystem, has shipped more than 27,000 charge points, and was listed in the Sunday Times Tech Track 100 list of the UK’s fastest growing technology companies two years running.

POD Point previously raised over £2 million through its first two Crowdcube initiatives and also securing over £1.4 through Seedrs.
