HiddenRadio Black Single

Maverick HiddenRadio returns to crowdfunding for their sleek bluetooth speaker HiddenRadio2, proving that “it is possible to improve on perfection.” This time around, HiddenRadio launched its crowdfunding on Fundable; to date, neither financial details nor investor information has been disclosed to non-investors. Future consumers look forward to continued innovative design updates from the Industrial Designer Founders John Van Den Nieuwenhuizen and Vitor Santa Maria.

John Van Den Nieuwenhuizen Vitor Santa MariaConsider HiddenRadio’s prior track record: their first version bluetooth speaker raised over $938,000 back in 2012.  HiddenRadio’s second experience crowdfunding on Kickstarter for HiddenRadio2 was also auspicious: the company closed their funding round after raising $720,919 from over 3,600 backers.  Founded byVan Den Nieuwenhuizen and Santa Maria, HiddenRadio’s second campaign experienced infectious funding, with financial support quickly soaring past their original crowdfunding goal of $90,000.  According to JD Alois of Crowdfund Insider, “While the campaign experienced a decline in the amount of backers and funds raised compared to their initial campaign on Kickstarter,  this still is a significant success for the project.  The initial funding goal for round 2 was beaten in just the first few hours of the campaign.”

HiddenRadio2 Speaker PhoneAlois reviews the HiddenRadio2: “The new version HiddenRadio2 is a completely re-designed device.  The look continues with the same clean lines from the first version but the internals have had an engineering overhaul.  The campaign page reports the designers have managed to more than double the speaker chamber enabling deeper bass.  The custom software and “proprietary neodymium dual speaker” combines to generate clear highs and strong lows.  And yes – thankfully they moved the micro usb charging location to outside of the inner cylinder. The new design also incorporates hidden touch controls.  By simply tapping the top of the speaker you may pause, play or adjust the volume.  That’s pretty cool.  This version can actually effectively support phone calls – which was a shortcoming of the first version.”

HiddenRadio2 TouchHiddenRadio’s crowdfunding success has saturated the press with over 100,000 media mentions, including featured articles and mentions in FastCompany, TechCrunch, CNET, and Forbes. With over 19,000 Twitter followers and two successfully crowdfunding rounds, HiddenRadio remains a company to watch carefully.

Pre-order pricing for the HiddenRadio2 is still available for $179.00 on HiddenRadio’s website.
