Equity crowdfunding platform Crowdcube has logged another awesome month of raising capital for small businesses. The UK based platform shared in a statement the site had raised £3.4 Million for the month of October. Crowdcube is one of the leading equity crowdfunding platforms in the world with their site having raised over £15 Million since launching in 2010.
During the month of October Crowdcube funded 6 businesses and captured 3,106 new potential investors. The £3.4 Million was generated via 1,088 investments.
The platform just recently hurdled over the £15 Million mark and post 80 businesses successfully funded and 50,137 registered investors.
The company has continued gain in prominence and media attention. The founders, Luke Land and Darren Westlake, were recently named in the Exeter Power 50, for their influence and contributions to the greater wellbeing of the city. The crowdfunding company has also been listed as one of the UK’s top 20 businesses by Startups.co.uk. They are also a finalist as Funded Business of the Year.
Crowdcube has recently been quoted as seeking international expansion to grow their brand and market share.
