Scam Uncovered on Indiegogo as Bloody Cuts Film Campaign is Pulled

Don't Move

Pitching funding for a full-length version of Bloody Cuts Film‘s “Don’t Move,” a man by the name of “Ron Forbes” started a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo earlier this week to raise funds for the production. Unfortunately, the project along with its apparent “creator” has been proclaimed as a scammer.Bloody Cuts Films

Directed by Anthony Melton, the short horror film followed a group of friends who accidentally opened a doorway to another word during an Ouija board session that goes very wrong. The gore-fest flick definitely appeals to a certain type of fan and the horror genre is one of the most financially successful.  Perhaps that’s why Rob Ford figured he give it a go and produce a feature length version.  Unfortunately it wasn’t his film and he allegedly had not taken the time to ask for permission from the creators.

Soon after launching the campaign, “Forbes” was revealed to have nothing to do with the original film and he edited out of all of the credits in order to eliminate any suggestion that he ever did.

Reportedly during the not-so-original and low quality pitch video, Forbes stated, “I want to make Don’t Move a feature film but I need a little cash to do it. The real film will be much better. I’ll have real actors, a better camera, more locations, and the over quality will just be better. Total, I’ll need about $20,000. $10,000 of it will go towards camera and equipment. $5,000 will towards actors. The other $5,000 will go towards hotels. I’m sad to say that I won’t be able to give too many perks but I will have SOMETHING to show my absolutely gratefulness for you funding this project.”

Taking notice to the new unusual campaign, Bloody Cuts Films took to its Twitter to clear the air of any confusion and tweeted.

The horribly done campaign had pretty weak perks – for $100 you would get a script and DVD and if you tossed in a $1000 you could be a producer on the project.  The fraud was so apparent that Indiegogo quickly scrubbed the campaign page from  circulation.

Some Fans of the film  are calling it the worst Indiegogo campaign to ever.  Fortunately no one lost any funds.
