Cocolico, an exclusive brand for children’s clothing collections made in France by Blue Poppies for international stores and department stores, recently launched its crowdfunding campaign on WiSeed seeking to raise €300,000, with a minimum €100 investment. Oohed and aahed for decades if not centuries, notable contemporary French-made children’s clothing peers to Cocolico include Bonpoint, Tartine et Chocolat, Jacadi.
Seeking to disrupt uniformity of children’s clothing collections, adapt to local tastes and climates and provide production opacity, Montauban-based Cocolico offers each store an opportunity for personalized co-design. Cocolico’s playful artistic customer experience aims to increase consumer fidelity and create a unique link between its French dressmakers and children around the world. Cocolico is a premium brand currently available online and in Japan, Taïwan and China.
Cocolico CEO Muriel Thuillier travels around to support the clothier’s global commercial development of the brand. As COO Antoine Thuillier manages day to day operations, including production and financial management, AliceEtille, Communication and Marketing Manager, promotes the Cocolico brand, including the US market’s commercial development. Partnering artists include Stéphanie Ledoux and Zoé Crevette.
Funding will be used for expansion in new markets, new product development, brand development and customer experience innovation. Staged development includes growth in Japan, Taïwan and China during summer 2015, development in North America and Middle East countries by the end of 2015 and development of a virtual fitting room for a playful customization experience in stores whose beta test is scheduled by the end of 2015.
