YUUworld, an Essex-based kids backpack brand, recently launched an AngelsDen campaign as it prepares to expand its company. YUU currently offers a range of premium and unique children’s activity backpacks for on-the-go entertainment.

For parents it’s about the exceptional quality, multi-functional usage and unique features, all encased in an ergonomic EVA foam shell providing support for young, growing spines. But best of all, it keeps kids entertained on days out, flights, car journeys – no more ‘are we nearly there yet.’”
Since its launch in 2010, YUU has reportedly sold 55,000 backpacks, which has generated £2.2 million through online-only sales. The company has also expanded its product line to provide backpacks for younger children and YUU bags on wheels along with accessories.
Explaining what the AngelsDen funds will be used for, the YUUworld team stated:
“Across the next 5 years YUUworld will grow the business to deliver £3.2m revenue in year 5, with a possible net profit of £628,773. We are seeking £260,000 for a share of 25%. The funding will be used to maximise the commerce opportunity in the UK, driven by an enhanced and more efficient TV ad schedule. We need £150k to fully implement our plan, and this is our minimum to raise, however raising £260k will allow us to grow faster and speed up the investment in marketing and stock holding and this is our target investment amount.”
Since its launch, the campaign has successfully secured over £63,000. It is set to close at the beginning of August.
