Peer-to-peer travel money exchange WeSwap has announced new developments for the business and its travel partners. The company has launched “WeSwap Connect“, one-click API that integrates WeSwap’s travel money services with partners’ businesses. WeSwap’s app allows holiday makers to swap their currency with people traveling in the opposite direction – loading the currency onto a pre-paid Mastercard that holds 18 currencies simultaneously – and lets user spend abroad like a local.
“WeSwap Connect means our travel industry partners can bring their customers a twenty-first century travel money product, alongside complimentary services such as car rental, flights and accommodation. Partners also benefit from access to a wealth of user data that gives them a broader understanding of their customer base. We see this as a first step in WeSwap becoming an integral part of the travel ecosystem,” explained Rob Stross, WeSwap CMO.

WeSwap reports it has secured a further 18 partnerships since July 2016, including with SIXT, Perkbox, Secret Escapes, LoveHomeSwap, Zopa and Affordable Car Hire.
