Producers Michael Simka & Barry Katz Now Seeking Funds Through Reg CF Campaign on Indiegogo/Microventures for Children TV Network “SuperdopeTV”

Mychal Simka, the writer and producer of 14 animated feature films to date including “Adventures of Bunny Bravo,”and Barry Katz, an Emmy and Grammy-nominated producer of over 100 specials, albums, documentaries, reality and scripted tv shows and films, have teamed up to launch a Reg CF campaign through Microventures and Indiegogo to raise funds for their new kids television ntwork, SuperdopeTV.

The duo stated that the goal of SuperdopeTV, which is geared towards children between the ages of 5 and 12,  is to produce live-action comedy sketches, animated series, celebrity and brand-sponsored content and music. They stated:

“SuperdopeTV will offer a large selection of relatable content for today’s growing Generation Z with a variety of intelligent, high-quality entertainment programs formatted for kid-specific interests.  In addition to online programming, SuperdopeTV will offer a weekly half-hour series for traditional television.  SuperdopeTV is a sketch comedy show built for online and conventional television platforms as well as a multi-channel network of the same name.  Similar to many influential pop culture studios SuperdopeTV will create content for the preteen and teen demographic, but with a unique twist.”

Simka also shared:

“32 % of all kids in 2016 preferred getting their content on a digital device, something other than traditional television and we are seeking to meet that demand. As more children and teens turn to the internet for entertainment, pop culture studios have become increasingly important in the creation of intelligent, high-quality content. Generation Z continues to gravitate toward YouTube influencers instead of traditional film or television stars, making online interactive media the natural successor to television channels like Nickelodeon and Disney.  SuperdopeTV believes that this online terrain presents a significant opportunity for the family entertainment industry. Like AwesomenessTV which was funded for only 3 million dollars, and is now valued at $650 million, SuperdopeTV aspires to create the first household name in kids entertainment online.”

Simka and Katz also noted that their team is currently creating a network of writers and actors and is including celebrities from popular social media platforms as well as trusted names from traditional media like “Saturday Night Live,” “MADtv,” Disney, and Nickelodeon. SuperdopeTV will be supported by an extensive merchandising campaign as well.

Simka previously sought funds on the Microventures/Indiegogo equity crowdfunding platform earlier this year for the animated feature films, Adventures of Bunny Bravo and Un Conejo de Huevos, which are films about a loveable misfit rabbit who journeys to save Easter Island.
The SuperdopeTV Reg CF campaign is set to close next week.
