Virgin Startup Announces Equity Crowdfunding Accelerator Program CrowdBoost

Virgin Startup has teamed up with TribeFirst to launched Crowdboost, a new equity crowdfunding accelerator program for startups looking to scale. Its description reads:

“CrowdBoost has been developed for ambitious entrepreneurs who are looking to leverage the power of the crowd to raise funds, raise awareness and build a tribe of evangelical customers who are emotionally and financially invested in their business. We are looking for entrepreneurs who want to raise at least £100k and already have a proven concept that is generating traction and a good following. We want committed founders who are willing to listen to feedback and put in the work.”

The program is a seven-week accelerator that covers crowdfunding campaign preparation, including:

  • Campaign Setup: Through masterclasses and 1-2-1 sessions, startups will receive guidance to everything set up for the campaign
  • Investor Engagement: Virgin Startup will help find and engage with lead investors, angels, or institutional investors who will provide an all-important cornerstone
  • Press Release Training: Startups will receive training around writing press releases in  the form that the media prefers and advice about when and how to send them
  • Marketing Training: Virgin Startup will help startups plan an effective marketing strategy for their campaigns.

Deadline for applications is midnight on January 26th and the program will kick off on January 30th with the launching of campaigns in March or April. To apply, click here.
