Virgin Money announced on Monday the trial launch of Home Buying Coach, a new app designed to help first-time buyers navigate the home purchase process. According to Virgin Money, the app is launching in collaboration with Life Moment, a provider of platforms and tools to improve customers’ experience and generate data insight. The four-week trial will notably see thousands of customers invited to download the interactive tool which simplifies the home-buying process.
Key features of Home Buying Coach include the following:
- A tool to calculate what each user can afford, over a range of buying timescales
- Generation of a personalized plan, timeline and saving goals for each user
- An in-app digital coach, which starts conversations, asks questions and delivers prompts to encourage the user into action
- Guidance on every step of the home buying process
Speaking about the app, Simon Wallace, Head of Transformation at Virgin Money, stated:
“Home Buying Coach is a great example of how we can use our strategic partnerships to create innovative propositions that enhance the customer experience. This app reflects Virgin Money’s wider digital transformation strategy of helping customers maximise control over their finances. Using technology, we want people to be able to access and make decisions about their money whenever and from wherever.”
The full launch will follow the completion of the BETA phase, which is open to Virgin Money’s Help to Buy ISA customers as well as its colleagues.
