StartEngine, one of the largest investment crowdfunding platforms in the US, has increased its crowdfunding bounty for issuers that raise capital on its site.
Previously, StartEngine paid out $1000 for offering referrals but today the StartEngine Scout Program will pay you a whopping $5000 if you connect them with a company that uses its services to raise money online.
First, you need to register with StartEngine to participate in the Scout program and if you have a lead and the referral signs with StartEngine, you’ll receive $2,500 and once they officially launch another $2,500. StartEngine adds that it will also contribute $1,000 to the securities offering marketing spend.
Issuers may utilize Reg A+, Reg CF or Reg D to raise capital online. Recent changes under Reg CF and Reg A+ have improved these exemptions for issuers. Under Reg CF, a company may raise up to $5 million from both retail and accredited investors. Under Reg A+, an issuer may raise up to $75 million from both retail and accredited investors. Reg D is only available to accredited investors.
