FTX Inks Another Sports Deal with BYU Football Partnership

FTX Trading and West Realm Shires Services Inc., owners and operators of FTX.COM and FTX.US, have formed another sports-focused partnership by signing a deal with Ohana Experience, an agency that represents the Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) interests of Brigham Young University football players.

FTX has emerged as a fast growing digital asset exchange and the company has recently formed sports partnerships with the arena where the Miami Heat plays, GOAT Tom Brady and basketball star Steph Curry.

This past summer, the NCAA agreed to allow college athletes to monetize their popularity (instead of the schools where they compete). This dramatic shift in policy has seen a rush for brands and promoters to leverage athlete popularity while students have started to earn income from their personal brands and social media platforms.

The FTX partnership will involve sponsored posts on the players’ social media channels about FTX, sharing the things about the platform and encouraging their followers to use it with them. In exchange, FTX will pay each BYU Football player signed with OhanaX over $500 in their choice of US Dollars or cryptocurrency.

FTX will also sponsor events around the BYU football stadium for home games, and run a tickets/hotel giveaway for a bowl game.
