Deep Tech Platform Othoz Finalizes €10M Series A Round to Transform the Future of Investing in Capital Markets

Deeptech pioneer Othoz has completed a €10 million round to further “unlock the potential of artificial intelligence and drive the development of quantitative, machine learning (ML) based strategies for investing in capital markets.”

Led by Acton Capital and with participation of existing investors as well as several industry experts, the investment round marks a key step in Othoz’ journey to “establish ML as a key technology in quantitative asset management.’

Othoz’ management explains that they are focused on doing pioneering work. They are committed to building on the best practices of quantitative asset management. They aim to continue tapping into the potential of machine learning for capital market investments.

As explained by the company, machine learning enables them to effectively analyze more key factors “without having to rely on hypotheses, to recognize their interdependencies more clearly and to generate more precise information from the data noise of the financial markets – up to the early recognition of market-relevant structural changes.”

The company adds:

“At Othoz, creative minds from various disciplines such as finance, computer and data sciences, mathematics, physics and neuroscience work together to create added value for our clients in the capital markets. Our culture is based on a spirit of cooperation and is characterized by a high level of quality awareness, openness at all times and attention to detail in all areas of our work.”

Othoz GmbH, based in Berlin, develops quantitative investment strategies “based on machine learning technologies.”

The implementation in investment products is “carried out by Othoz Capital GmbH.”

Established in 2017, the firm is embedded in the worldwide development of knowledge in the field of artificial intelligence, “also through close exchange with leading universities and as a member of Inquire Europe.”

Othoz claims to be “one of the most important driving forces for AI-based analysis and decision-making processes in the field of asset management.”
