Digital Currency Payments: Binance Pay, Lyzi Taking Crypto Transactions to “Next Level” in Europe

Payments are one of crypto’s “biggest” and “earliest” use cases, and Binance‘s new partnership with Lyzi is “helping to achieve this goal in more locations.”

While many use crypto as an investment, it’s also “a great way to transfer value globally with minimal fees and short transaction times,” according to an update from Binance, which has recently been sued for a wide range of issues by the US regulators.

As mentioned in a blog post, anyone with a Binance account will “have access to an even wider range of crypto payment options with Lyzi’s merchants across Europe.”

As explained in the announcement, Lyzi is “a crypto-native app that has joined forces with Binance to launch an enhanced and optimized version of its crypto payment solution, with cashback on every purchase.”

Lyzi’s ambition is “to democratize the usage of crypto-assets by integrating merchants that offer different types of services and products from daily life purchases (e.g., bakeries, supermarkets, doctors) to more specific goods (e.g., car dealers, jewelry shops, etc.).”

Binance Pay users will be “able to use the solution in every store of Lyzi’s network of merchants that are displayed in the Lyzi App.”

The interactive map will be “updated every time a new merchant joins the network.”

This partnership “means that Binance users will have more places and opportunities to use their cryptos for their own purchases in Europe.”

The Lyzi App is also “available in English and can be used by every user who passed the KYC on Binance.”

In another recent update from Binance, it was noted that they are welcoming Rachel Conlan as Binance’s Vice President of Global Marketing.

Rachel will “oversee and manage our regional and global marketing teams across the world to help reinforce and expand Binance’s position as a trusted industry leader in the crypto space.”

Rachel reportedly brings to Binance “a wealth of experience at the highest level which included heading Global Partnerships at CAA Sports, an international sports and entertainment agency, where she developed brand partnerships to improve its market influence in the industry.”

She also served “as the Global Chief Marketing Officer for Havas, pioneering strategies for business development and revenue growth.”

Binance Co-Founder Yi He said:

“With Rachel’s extensive experience, she will help propel the industry forward, introducing more people to blockchain, familiarizing them with Binance, and collectively building this still very early-stage industry.”

In pursuit of a broader crypto awareness and adoption, Rachel will “help Binance push the boundaries of our marketing efforts on several fronts, including engaging untapped demographics, working with policymakers, and connecting with industry heavyweights. ”

The role she plays is “pivotal in leading the world into the new era of Web3.”

Rachel is also “poised to take charge of Binance’s existing and future brand partnerships. She will be at the helm of our current campaigns, including Cristiano Ronaldo, The Weeknd, Alpine Formula 1, and Khaby Lame, to advance our global marketing endeavors.”

Her work will “involve exploring innovative brand collaborations and driving broader conversations with influential leaders on the role of digital assets.”

Rachel said:

“I am thrilled to be embarking on this journey with Binance, a truly world-class organization that has garnered the trust of millions globally. I’m eager to collaborate with an incredibly talented team, and together, we aim to enlighten and align with our leadership to fulfill our mission of ushering a billion users into this dynamic and exciting industry.”
