Animoca Brands Japan, a subsidiary of the Hong Kong-based Web3 entity Animoca Brands, has announced a new partnership with HashPalette to facilitate the global expansion of Japan’s Web3 gaming sector.
This strategic collaboration is set to provide marketing support for HashPalette’s game, THE LAND ELF Crossing (THE LAND), aiming to introduce the Japanese blockchain game to international markets, according to the announcement.
Under the partnership, Animoca Brands Japan and HashPalette will work together on THE LAND, a metaverse blockchain game developed by HashPalette. The initiative seeks to leverage Animoca Brands’ global ecosystem, including its portfolio companies and partners, to promote THE LAND and engage overseas audiences.
Seihaku Yoshida, CEO, chairman, and founder of HashPalette, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration with Animoca Brands, highlighting the potential of THE LAND to become a leading blockchain game in Japan and its aspiration for global user engagement.
Yoshida also noted that THE LAND ELF Crossing has already seen significant interest, with over 150,000 users pre-registered for its first blockchain game token IEO in Japan on bitFlyer, a major crypto asset exchange.
HashPalette, a subsidiary of HashPort Inc., focuses on non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and offers comprehensive support from technical infrastructure to content dissemination for blockchain games.
The company has developed Palette Chain, a blockchain network optimized for NFT distribution, and operates the largest proprietary domestic NFT marketplace, PLT Place.
The partnership announcement follows the successful IEO of the Palette Token (PLT), which raised approximately 22.4 billion yen ($149.96 million) against an offering of around 900 million yen ($6.03 million).
The upcoming IEO for the ELF Token marks the company’s second such endeavor, with participation subject to bitFlyer’s terms, conditions, and eligibility requirements.
THE LAND ELF Crossing is a metaverse farming blockchain game where players can earn rewards through crop production and develop their towns using those rewards.
Certain crops can be converted into NFTs and sold for ELF Tokens, with rare items offering significant value.
Minh Do, COO of Animoca Brands, and Daisuke Iwase, CEO of Animoca Brands Japan, both highlighted the potential of Japanese games in the blockchain space and the expected positive impact of this partnership on the Web3 industry and the upcoming Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan.
Established in 2021, Animoca Brands Japan aims to support Japanese intellectual property and content holders in embracing global Web3 strategies, providing a bridge between Japanese IPs and global fans through blockchain technology.
