Small Businesses Fret About Access to Capital

Policies aimed at giving small businesses easier access to capital are “critical” to nearly half the nation’s entrepreneurs, according to an October survey of owners whose firms bring in annual revenue of between $1 million and $20 million.

Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney, whose campaign platform touts smaller government, has said that he would make it easier for entrepreneurs and small businesses to get the investment dollars they need to grow by cutting and simplifying taxes, reducing federal regulations and replacing the Affordable Care Act with cost-effective health-care reform.
