Equity crowdfunding platform InvestingZone is launching an advertising campaign to encourage UK investors to “Do more with their money”. The initiative hopes to spur investors to build and manage their own portfolios while investing in Britain based startups and SMEs.
The campaign starts on the September 25th and will run through to December of this year. The national advertising campaign will feature placements in national and financial media with ‘Not for Idiots’, ‘The Cleverest Person You Know Is You’ and ‘Nobody Tells You What to Do’ titles.
Investors participating in crowdfunding offerings may commit relatively small amounts of money while having access to a wide range of investment opportunities. They can personally gain experience of the investing process, how to evaluate opportunities and learn quickly from more experienced investors, whom they will invest alongside.
Crowdfunding is giving the UK the opportunity to substantially expand the investor skills of the population at large. It will allow people to invest some of their earnings in exciting new companies, rather than watch it being continually eroded by inflation and historically low rates of interest being offered by the banks. Simultaneously the new businesses supporter will help to stimulate domestic economic growth.
