The Vans Warped Tour is a yearly music and extreme sports festival that takes place every summer as it has for the past 18 years. Hundreds of bands have played the tour since inception, which aims to give kids access to over 80 bands in one day with one low ticket price. It’s touted as the longest-running show of its kind in the world today.
Through a verified nonprofit campaign on Indiegogo, the Vans Warped Tour organizers are seeking $10,000 for the Unite the United Foundation, a 501(c)3 whose mission is to “encourage fans, artists and industry leaders by supporting local charities and participating in community volunteerism events across the United States.”
It amounts not only to a great way to support this charity, but also a chance for music fans to get some pretty cool perks at this year’s slate of shows. Fans can pledge funds to secure rewards like side-stage access to a band’s set, lunch with all the bands for a day or – for $5,000 – a VIP experience at a Warped show, airfare included.
The campaign has raised just over $4,000 thus far with a little over three weeks to go.
