Top YouTube Star PewDiePie Raising $250K For Save The Children On Indiegogo

pewdiepieFelix Kjellberg is better known by the name of PewDiePie, and he is one of a handful of wildly successful gamers that have used YouTube as a means of building a following. Actually, that may be putting it a bit lightly. He has the most subscribers of any individual on Earth, and he just celebrated an incredible milestone.

He can now boast 25 million YouTube subscribers, and in light of that achievement he has launched a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo that aims to make a large donation to Save The Children.

The campaign launched earlier this week and has already amassed over $100,000 in funding toward a goal of $250,000. The campaign is a flexibly funded one, so some funds will be making their way to the charity no matter what.

PewDiePie will donate $1 for every thousand views his pitch video above receives. That total is already up to over $2,500 and counting.

We’re all just kids who grew up (kind of). Can you imagine if you never got that chance? Save the Children is an awesome charity that has helped more than 125 million children around the world providing everything from school books to food to blankets and shelter.

PewDiePie is part of the Maker Studios MCN, which was just acquired by Disney in a huge $500 million deal.
