Film Platform Seed&Spark Partners with American Express

Seed&SparkIndependent film crowdfunding platform Seed&Spark has formed a partnership with American Express.  According to the site, American Express will select five films each month from the Seed&Spark library of films. These selected films will be distributed across the American Express channels including NOW – a cable / streaming channel that reaches 67 million homes across the country.

The young platform expects to announce similar partnerships over the coming months.  The partnership with American Express is a trial agreement.  Seed&Spark said of the arrangement;

“We couldn’t even have dreamed of this level of brand patronage when we launched 18 months ago. And while we are excited to offer this to the films that get chosen, we are actively seeking (and will soon announce) other similar partnerships that will be open to all S&S filmmakers!

This is a trial partnership that will continue paying filmmakers and reaching wide audiences if we show AmEx what an incredible boon we think this is to our community. If you have Roku, Amazon Fire or a Smart TV, search for “Amex Now” and download the app!”

Seed&Spark American ExpressThe global financial giant stated about the new partnership;

“American Express is committed to enabling filmmakers and shares Seed&Spark’s mission of bringing the best in independent film to the fans,” said Jill Toscano, vice president of US media, American Express, in a statement. “Through this partnership, we will provide film fans with great content on Amex NOW and bring these films to even broader audiences, ultimately fueling greater creativity and discovery of film.”
