On Friday (November 21st), co-founder and chief development officer of Indiegogo, Danae Ringelmann sat down with Bloomberg West to discuss users of the platform and the idea of crowdfunding for social good.
During her interview, Ringlemann stated, “We’re seeing a broad spectrum, we’re seeing social entrepreneurs, innovators, inventors, using Indiegogo to launch their products and businesses. We’re seeing artists, like filmmakers and musicians to put out a film or go on tour. And we’re actually now seeing a lot of non-profits and individuals raising money for personal causes like to pay for a funeral.”
