“Project Cars 2” Announced; Crowdfunding Campaign Debuts on World of Mass Development to Raise £7M

Just a few weeks after Project CARS released, Slightly Mad Studios announced on Monday the plans for its sequel Project CARS 2, and its new crowdfunding campaign on World of Mass Development.

Project Cars 2 5According to Stuff, while revealing more details about the upcoming game Slightly mad Studios shared that its pushing hard into development and its new funding initiative will aim to eventually bring the total of 7 mill to fund the sequel.

The media outlet also noted that Project CARS 2 will continue to maintain the simulation core of the original game but will expand the amount of content (both on the road and off. Features of the new game include:

  • Largest Track Roster Ever: This will have 50 unique locations and 200+ courses that include “loose surface racing” on dirt, gravel, mud and snow.
  • Widest Variety of Motorsports: 8 different disciplines now include Rallycross, Hillclims, and Touge
  • CO-OP Career: Play as the teammate driver, spotter, driver swap or co-pilot.
  • Seamlessly Connected: Socialize and compete through Online Track Days, have players from around the world take the place of Al-controlled drivers in solo plays.
  • Pro ESport Racing: Skill and behavioral-based match making, create-your-own racing seasons, and live broadcast.

Project CARS 2 is due to release on the various platforms such as PC, Playstation4, Xbox One, and Steam OS. Backers will also receive various perks for pledging to the campaign:

While the project has already raised over £375,000, Project CARS 2 has already received some criticism due to Project CARS having some flaws.
