Sum 41 Hits PledgeMusic to Raise Funds For New Album

Ready for their big comeback, the bandmates of Sum 41 recently launched a crowdfunding campaign on PledgeMusic for their new album.

SUM41The band is making a comeback after last year incident, in which frontman Deryck Whibley was forced into a coma when his liver and kidneys collapsed. Immediately following the situation, he began to devote his life to sobriety and has been working on playing music once again.

While sharing details about the campaign, the group stated:

“Words can’t describe how good it feels to be back, so I’ll just let the music do that instead. It’s been a crazy few years for all of us in one way or another, but with this much needed break and a new lease on life Sum 41 is back and stronger and more excited than we have been in a long time. It’s time to make a great record!

“Thanks to all the fans! Your support has always been a blessing. We love you for it, and we can’t wait to get back to your country, you city, your town, or even your backyard to come play a rock show! See you all soon.”

sum41-1In regards to rewards for funding the project, the bandmates added:

“By pre-ordering the album you will automatically get a digital copy on the day of release, but you will also get access to all of our behind-the-scenes, making of the album, videos and photos. You can hear sneak peaks of songs, watch us write and record and maybe even get into a fight or two! ha-ha.”

Meanwhile, Sum 41 is set to perform at the Alternative Press Music Awards, which is being held in Cleveland, Ohio this evening.
