“The Syrian war is creating the worst humanitarian crisis of our time. This fundraiser collection page offers a few ways to help a refugee family in need.”

It was revealed that there has been a total of 101 fundraisers, 40.3 thousand donors and $1.85 million that has been raised.

Recently, Humans of New York’s Humans of New York (HONY) founder, Brandon Stanton, launched a new crowdfunding campaign on Generosity to raise $100,000 for eleven Syrian families looking to create a fresh start. Over the past twenty days, the project has successfully secured over $760,000.

Humans of New YorkIt was revealed that the amount raised over the first 48 hours of the campaign would be divided among the refugee families (which were each featured on the HONY website and social media platforms last month). If any of the families declined any assistance from the organization, their share would go towards the resettlement organization that is helping them with transition.
