Crowdfunder & B37 Ventures to Co-Manage Seed Fund For the Singularity University Labs Accelerator Program

This week, equity crowdfunding platform Crowdfunder announced that it has teamed up with B37 Ventures to co-manage the seed fund for the Singularity University Labs Accelerator (SULA).

SULAThe SULA fund will reportedly provide $100,000 in seed funding, and acceleration, to high impact for-profit ventures that are tackling humanity’s grand challenges while leveraging exponential technologies.

While sharing details about the program, SULA stated:

The program includes an intense 8-week experience where we will take startups from prototype or early proof-of-concept to scale. It begins with a one-week Exponential Thinking Bootcamp followed by four weeks of accelerated learning, covering topics ranging from future forecasting, rapid prototyping, business fundamentals to fundraising. This is followed by four weeks of time to integrate what you learned and to build your product.”

SULA will also provide:

  • A co-working space at NASA Ames Research Park in the heart of Silicon Valley
  • Unparalleled access to an invested community made up of Fortune 500 companies in Singularity’s overbooked Corporate Executive Program
  • Ongoing support through the growth SU Startup Network program

In regards to the program’s requirements, SULA added:

We look for people daring to solve at the systems level. People working on the cutting edge of technology and leveraging this technology to positively impact the world. People like you.”

Additional requirements include:

  • Proof-of-concept or functional prototype of an exponential technology
  • Your team, of at least 2 active co-founders, is addressing a global grand challenge
  • You can demo your product and have recommendations from qualified references

Deadline to sign up for the program is February 19, 2016
