Multiple Fintech companies are on the list of Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies for 2016.
OurCrowd, one of the largest investment crowdfunding platforms in the world, was recognized at number 7 for Israel.
Affirm, founded by PayPal founder Max Levchin, came in second place under the Finance category. Affirm is an online lender that provides credit at the point of sale.
SoFi, one of the fastest growing online lenders that started by refinancing student debt and has since migrated into other direct lending verticals, captured 7th on the Finance list.
Crowdfunding platform Watsi, received recognition in the non-profit category at number 3.
Indiegogo was mentioned for doing social good by waving its 5% fee for “conscious campaigns”.
Regarding companies that have leveraged crowdfunding there were several mentions including; Ubiome, Oculus, Uber and Jibo.
