This week, Indiegogo success TrackR announced two new features for its popular device, the TrackR Bravo. The first feature, Family Sharing, allows users to share their items with groups while the second feature, Custom Printing, allows users to print any photo directly on their devices.

TrackR Bravo_KeysTrackr Bravo is described as a thin item-tracking device. It keeps track of mostly everything from laptops and cellphones to bicycles and purses. By using the TrackR app for iPhone and Android, users can quickly locate items around the home using the distance indicator radar or tap the “Ring Device” button to cause the lost item to make noise.

The company launched the Trackr Bravo campaign on the global crowdfunding platform two years ago only seeking $20,000 for supply cost. During its funding round, the company secured $1,225,000 from over 17,000 backers and decided to use Indiegogo’s InDemand feature to gain more funding after the initiative came to an end. The device has successfully raised over $1.7 million in total funds.

Christian Johan Smith, president and co- founder of TrackR, stated:

TrackR App“We are building a platform that remembers where your stuff is so that you don’t have to, and TrackR bravo is an integral part of that platform. With Family Sharing and Custom Printing, TrackR bravo becomes an even more powerful tool for keeping track of your most important belongings, while also fitting more seamlessly into your everyday life and style. That’s the future of consumer inventory management as we see it.”

The company offered a more descriptive view of the new features. The Family Sharing feature will notably enable a “group effort” approach for quickly locating misplaced items. For instance, a user may set up a “Family” group that includes their spouse and children. Within that group, they share their TrackR-ed TV remote, car keys, etc. so anyone in the family can help find those items. With the Custom Printing, any photo can be printed directly onto the TrackR using UV-LED technology, so the picture will last. This feature costs an additional $4.99 per device.
