On Friday, crowdfunded brewery BrewDog announced the launch of its new equity punk idea platform, DogTank. The platform gives shareholders of the brewery a chance to share their own ideas on how to improve BrewDog. While sharing details about DogTank, the BrewDog team stated:
“We love the fact that our 55,000 investors use the Equity Punk forum to give us feedback, suggestions and chew over the issues that matter – but we want to harness the power of the people who own our company like never before. If you are an Equity Punk with a proposal for something you’d like to see BrewDog do in the near future, log in to BrewDog using the details linked to your Equity Punk account, and tell us your idea.”
The brewery also noted that it will be inviting, shareholders, also known as Equity Punks, behind the most exciting and ingenious 20 ideas to a London event, where the top 10 ideas will be pitched directly to other Equity Punks and co-founder James Watt.
“If you make the shortlist, we will reward you with an exclusive ‘Top Dog’ enamel pin badge and patch set PLUS free UK-wide delivery on all orders from the BrewDog online shop for a year! And that’s even before the ultimate prize is awarded – any ideas that make the grade will be introduced, and the course of BrewDog history will be changed forever, with Equity Punk taking all the credit!”
BrewDog went on to add that it is looking for ideas that are unique, “titanic,” and just a little crazy, with nothing being off limits. All ideas must be submitted by June 26th. BrewDog has raised more than $30 million through its ongoing crowdfunding offer, Equity For Punks, in the UK.
