The United States is Tribesports’ fastest-growing market, and they believe support for the crowdfunding to be driven primarily by US and UK supporters.

Tribesports Sportswear“Technical sportswear is expensive, but we believe we can make it more accessible,” said Steve Reid, Tribesports CEO.  “We plan to remove the middlemen, ludicrous multi-million-dollar marketing campaigns and failing bricks and mortar stores from the equation. Instead we’ll work with industry-leading designers, manufacturers and incorporate input from our community of athletes, and sell our sportswear online, enabling us to pass huge savings directly to customers without compromising on quality.”

Steve Reid TribesportsA survey of 1,388 sports enthusiasts found that 71 percent feel forced to make a choice between price and quality when buying sportswear.  An astounding 84 percent said that pro endorsements have no influence over what sportswear they buy, and 82 percent said their friends influence their purchasing decisions more so than professional athletes.

Tribesports founder Steve Reid is a committed ultra marathon and iron man competitor who founded the community based web site in 2011.  Since its founding the platform has grown 3700%.
