Giving Tuesday takes place after Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday. It is a boon for non-profits around the country, and this year Crowdvance is going to try and up the ante by partnering with brands and non-profits in order to entice donations. From their web site…
This holiday season, non-profits will run proactive and engaging fundraising campaigns to take advantage of the momentum generated from the #GivingTuesday movement by offering supporters exclusive free gift cards in exchange for a donation, giving supporters an opportunity to save on their holiday shopping while giving back.
Donors who choose to give will get rewarded with free gift cards to nationally-recognized brands like ScoreBig, Hulu+, MovieTickets.com, and Walgreens Photo while non-profits will be able to tap into much larger group of donors who come to claim the reward, but stay because they like the cause.
This isn’t the only platform doing something for #GivingTuesday this year. Razoo has also launched a national competition in the spirit of the campaign.
