Seeking to bring its hair and beauty app to a bigger audience, Bright Salon has launched an equity crowdfunding campaign on Seedrs to raise £100,000 as it prepares for expansion.
The company developed the app as a way to provide hair and beauty salons with their own branded app for their salon business. The goal is to help salons by increasing client loyalty, improving client/salon communication, improving client retention and fill empty appointment slots/cancellations at very short notice.
Bright Salons noted that it has been working on the app for the last 15 months. It has also been tested in the salon environment for over 9 months (it was launched at Europe’s largest Hair and Beauty Exhibition Salon International in October 2015) and been proven to be successful.
“We have sold our system to over 42 salons and now need investment to develop further enhanced features as well a push the system to a wider audience both in the UK and abroad through a dedicated telesales team and further dedicated marketing.”
Currently available for both Android and iPhone, other features of the Bright Salon app are assisting salons in communicating with clients such as push notifications, social media links, website links, click to call and directions. The app also has up to 4 loyalty schemes as well as referral and share features to encourage new clients.
Funds from the campaign will be used for the app further development along with recruitment, resources, infrastructure, and marketing. It is set to close at the beginning of August.
