UK-based E-Rider has recently launched a Seedrs campaign with a mission to raise £120,000 as it prepares to add more products to its lineup. The company currently provides eco-friendly scooters, mopeds, and bikes.

E-Rider 2The vehicles have been designed to provide forms of transport that work well with UK transport laws and have both environmental and economical benefits.”

The brand offers three different types of models:

  • E-Rider Model 15: An electric moped that works through a simple twist-and-go handle bar accelerator. With batteries, the bike can go 20 to 25 miles per hour (on a single charge).
  • E-Rider Model 30: An electric moped that offers a maximum speed of 30 miles per hour.
  • E-Rider Model 60: Considered the company’s most powerful scooter. Does not have clutches, gears, and sound of a motor.

Sharing more details about its products, the company explained:

E-Rider 4“E-RIDER gives freedom to those who otherwise don’t have access to more traditional forms of transport. For those who, for whatever reason, aren’t able to obtain a licence to drive registered vehicles, the E-RIDER Model 15 provides a way in which these individuals can find independence, and, in some cases, employment.”

E-Rider noted it sold out within one month of launching (in 2014). Along with new products, the company plans to use the Seedrs funds for a new marketing plan and website.

We intend to further expand the product range introducing new designs which give customers greater choice and the option of customization to appeal to a varied demographic.”

The Seedrs initiative is set to run from now until the middle of September (60 days).
