mooVmoo, a UK-based video editing platform, has launched an equity crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube to raise £150,000 as it prepares to expand and build its new mobile app.
The company stated that its platform connects consumers to video editors. For £3 per minute, users can have their camera and mobile footage uploaded on its website and turned into memorable short movies, which can be shared at home or online. mooVmoo revealed that it removes the complexity of the video editing process and is perfect for GoPro enthusiasts, family video clips, and everything in between. Sharing details about the video editing platform, Mark O’Flynn, CEO of mooVmoo, stated:
“Our vision is for mooVmoo to be the go-to platform for millions of people who are heavy on video clips, low on time, and tired of auto-editing apps.”
Luis Ureña, COO of moovmoo, also noted:
“We have our sights set on accelerating our first mover advantage and this first funding round will allow us to develop a smartphone app and API to integrate with our backend system to make it even easier for customers to deliver video content to mooVmoo for editing.”
The moovmoo team revealed that the £150,000 would be used for marketing, capex, and personnel. The company is planning to build its mobile app as a way to expand its services through mobile devices and build an API to offer third parties a “Powered by mooVmoo” service. The company went on to add:
“mooVmoo believes that they are likely attract further investment or become a suitable target for acquisition as the customer and video editor base builds up over time.”
Since its launch, the campaign has successfully secured nearly £30,000. It is set to close mid-November.
