While sharing details about the reward show, NextGen Crowdfunding revealed:

The CVAs were created by NextGen to help showcase creative crowdfunding campaigns featured on Indiegogo, Kickstarter and other leading rewards-based and investment crowdfunding platforms. This innovative program provides entrepreneurs with new ways to promote their companies to supporters and investors as well as rewards them with cash prizes. The winners will use the funds to support their business including bringing their products to market or expanding services.”

The winners of season one were the following:

  • First place ($10,000 cash prize): Limitless Phone Case by Mous- Whether you drop your iPhone from your pocket or from 45 feet, Limitless cases will protect your phone from breaking
  • Second place ($5,000 cash prize): Noria Home- The first window air conditioner designed with you in mind
  • Third place ($2,500 cash prize): Farm From a Box- The start of a new tech-powered and self-sustaining approach to community farming and food security

NextGen Founder and CEO, Aubrey Chernick, shared:

“We are thrilled with the success of the first season of the CVAs. The CVAs allowed us to highlight the creativity of over 100 crowdfunding campaigns and invite millions of viewers to watch and participate by voting for the videos that most effectively motivated viewers to learn more about the crowdfunding campaigns they were created to promote. It’s exciting to know that we were able to bring these campaigns new fans and supporters to help them succeed.”

Mous Co-Founder, James Day, added:

“We really wanted to disrupt the boring phone accessory industry and push the limits. We are really glad that people got onboard with our campaign and voted for us. Thanks to the CVAs, we now have the opportunity to drive our brand and product even further.”

Supporters of the CVAs include Crowdfunding Professional Association (CFPA), OurCrowd, SeedInvest, StartEngine, Republic, and WeFunder, along with Crowdfund Beat and Crowdfund Insider.
