Update: Enertor Nears £900,000 During the Final Week on Crowdcube & Announces U.S. Entry

With its equity crowdfunding campaign set to close next Friday on Crowdcube, shoe insole brand Enertor is now nearing £900,000 and has just announced its entry into the U.S. markets thanks to its partnership with its first major retail partner, Cabela’s.  The company revealed in an update on Friday:

“Enertor insoles will be available in stores across the country as well as in its online store Enertor Performance insoles. This launch marks a major milestone for the business, as it is Enertor’s first step into the massive US market, which is estimated to be worth almost half of the $3billion insole market. Cabela’s was particularly impressed by the technology and our links with the British army. We are also in advanced discussions with a number of other retail partners, in both the sports and pharmacy channels, and look forward to growing our business aggressively in the US.”

As previously reported, the company claimed insole uses pioneering technology to reduce shock and impact injury and is not only used by Usain Bolt, but also the entire British Army. The company is aiming to transform the global foot orthotics (insole) market, moving it from its current medical focus and more elderly demographic, to a health and lifestyle proposition with a younger, more active profile and create global appeal. The key target market is people between 25 and 55 who are active and want to stay pain and injury free. Enertor recently announced its partnerships with Virgin Active Gyms and energy drink brand, Red Bull.

Funds from the equity crowdfunding round will be used to buy stock and for the marketing associated with the retail launches.
