Natural Fruit Drink Brand Berrywhite Returns to Crowdcube to Raise £150,000

UK-based natural fruit beverage brand Berrywhite has returned the equity crowdfunding platform Crowdcube to raise 150,000. The company launched its first funding round in 2014, seeking 300,000 but only secured £291,380Established in 2012 by Andrew Jennings, Berrywhite organic drinks were notably designed to be delicious, light, and refreshing. The company noted it offers a range of still drinks that combine fruit juice with mineral water and a sparkling drinks range that combines fruit juice with spring water.

Berrywhite was established in 2012 out of a desire to produce drinks that are good for you and good for others. We solved this in two ways: firstly by creating natural affordable fruit drinks that taste delicious and have no added sugar or artificial additives, and secondly by making a donation from all drinks sold to assist others less fortunate. The result is a range of still drinks in bottles and sparkling drinks in cans. Each refreshing flavour is blended with either mineral water or spring water. There are no added sugars and no artificial additives.”

The company also reported that its products are sold through hundreds of outlets in the UK including retailers like Holland & Barrett, and WHSmith and through national suppliers such as Brakes and the Compass Group. Internationally, it sells to distributors in over 15 countries. Berrywhite has also received 16 awards for the taste and quality of its products and the growth of the business.

All funds from the Crowdcube campaign will be used to continue the expansion of Berrywhite’s beverage ranges. It is set to close on January 19th.
