Update: Andersen EV to Complete Crowdcube Round With More Than £500,000 in Funding

Andersen EV, a UK-based electronic vehicle charge point brand, is now set to close its equity crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube with more than £500,000 in funding from nearly 750 investors. The funding round was launched last month and quickly secured its initial £200,000 funding target.

As previously reported, Andersen EV was founded in 2015 to create resident electronic car charge points for homeowners. Each of the company’s charge points blend “optimum technology” with “superb” design aesthetics. Andersen EV reported:

Our designs are so elegant that they were nominated for a Design Week award and they have been approved by the UK Government. They’re also offering customers up to £500 in grants towards their charging point.”

The company also reported that it takes care of installation and servicing, generating recurring revenue

We have built a subscription model that could be used by hotels & businesses hosting a charging point. Our app can collect data that could be of interest to the car industry, adding another potential revenue stream. Now we’re in discussions with two premium car manufacturers to expand our presence across Europe with the aim of becoming the go-to brand for premium charge points.”

Some of the charge points’ features include the following:

  • Lock the cable inside the unit for extra safety & security
  • Has high safety standards and complete weatherproofing
  • Is customized with a range of colors in wood or metal finishes
  • Charging stations are managed through the Andersen EV free mobile app

Funds from the Crowdcube will be used to continue Andersen EV’s growth and expansion. The campaign is currently set to close on Wednesday.
