HubrisOne, a UK-based startup that is seeking to make blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, and basic banking services available to all, is now seeking funding through equity crowdfunding platform Seedrs. The campaign originally sought £60,000, has so far surpassed the initial target, and is now nearing £75,000.
Founded in 2017, HubrisOne describes itself as a hybrid multi-currency (EUR, GBP, USD) current account with cryptocurrency wallet integration, instant low-cost cross-border transfers on the Stellar blockchain and DApp marketplace.
“We’re transforming the way people manage their cryptocurrency assets, enabling users to create multi-currency current accounts and execute instant blockchain-powered cross border payments all within a few taps.”
HubrisOne noted that each customer is issued a debit card to spend cryptocurrency or fiat currencies. The company then reward customers in HBRS tokens each time they refer, spend, and load their account.
“We started this mission when we understood the magnitude and impact that blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, and digital challenger banks were going to have on our day to day lives and the future of monetary system as we know it. As early adapters of blockchain technology, we understood the benefits, however, we struggled to understand why this technology had not been implemented and integrated into our day to day lives. We want to change this and bring the technology to the fingertips of more people globally. We quickly realised that there was a lack of solutions in the current market that was user-friendly and innovative. This is where we saw the gap and the opportunity.”
Funds from the Seedrs campaign will go towards the following:
- 40% – Finalise Development & Launch
- 35% – Operations
- 23% – Paid Marketing Campaigns
- 2% – Obtain own FCA Electronic Money Licence (EMI)
The funding round is set to close later this winter.
