Bee Good Now Overfunding: Beautiful, Cruelty-Free Skincare Buzz from the Crowdcube Hive

When Bee Good, a British business using local honey, wax and propolis to create award-winning natural skincare, synced with Crowdcube, Co-Founder Simon Cavill set the initial goal for £100,000.  Over 465 Crowdcube investors quickly helped the skincare company pre-valuated at £1,785,348 surpass £258K for 12.69% equity, with time remaining on the campaign.

“Our Crowdcube raise is now at 206% of target! We are extremely pleased and honoured that so many people value what we are doing and want to back us financially,  commented the Bee Good team via Crowdcube’s blog. “We have been asked if we are going to keep taking investment. We have decided to keep the campaign open while aiming for £250k then review whether to close the round then. The extra capital will help us accelerate our plans even faster and we would also welcome even more customers and the Crowdcube community to be our investors and brand ambassadors.”

Sold Sold in 125+ Waitrose stores in the UK, a chain of stores in the UAE, as well as farm shops, spas, hotels and online via Amazon Germany, France, Spain, and Italy, Bee Good is raising funds to expand the range and reach outside the UK while promoting British bees and beekeepers. Established in 2013, Bee Good is profitable and positioned for growth. Web sales were reportedly up 69%+ year on year, Amazon sales doubling year on year.

Bee Good was launched in 2008 by husband and wife team, Simon and Caroline Cavill. Then, Caroline used the honey and beeswax from their bees to create natural skincare products. Flash forward to 2013: the home business grew to the point  that Simon recruited a team of industry experts with a passion for natural skincare.

“Bee Good is profitable, and our website drives high margin sales, up 69%+ in Jan 2019, year on year (P&L + £4,633 Apr 2018-Mar 2019) with 45% of online buyers returning to buy again and we have over 1,100 customer reviews averaging five stars,” Bee Good noted on its Crowdcube campaign. “We believe we have a unique niche as one of the leading providers of bee-based skincare exclusively made from British bee products sourced from partner beekeepers. Our range is certified Cruelty-Free and has won multiple awards including two coveted CEW “Beauty Oscars” for Best New Brand two years in a row.”
