Global Payments Fintech Adyen Introduces Machine Learning enabled Compliance Solution, Score

Adyen (AMS: ADYEN), the international payments platform for leading businesses, has officially launched Score.

Adyen claims that it’s the first-to-market with a machine learning powered solution on a single platform for identifying unusual activity and ensuring platform compliance. By utilizing key data insights for analyzing the platform merchant’s data and flagging irregular user behavior, Score assists Adyen’s merchants with preventing misuse of the platform.

As Score offers important insights through a wide range of risk signals, the feature provides considerable support to platform merchants’ compliance processes. By enhancing the overall effectiveness and lowering time spent on platform user security reviews, Score improves operational scalability for platforms.

Score is the latest addition to the firm’s offering for platforms. GoFundMe, the online fundraising platform, is reportedly one of Adyen’s first merchants to integrate Score during the past few months.

Matthew Murray, Director of Risk & Compliance at GoFundMe, stated:

“Score has helped us to provide the best service we can to help as many people as possible – while also ensuring our customers trust that GoFundMe is keeping them safe and protected.. We are constantly adopting the best tools to ensure we have a full and accurate picture of our risk profile, so we were pleased to be the first to try this new Score solution.”

Mariëtte Swart, Chief Legal and Compliance Officer at Adyen, remarked:

“This is where tech and compliance meet – we’re very excited about the launch of Score, as we are now able to support our platform merchants in platform user fraud and integrity monitoring. Reducing risk is a top priority for platform businesses. The feature puts our merchants in full control by offering a solution that never stops learning.”

As previously reported, Adyen serves as the payments platform of choice for many of the leading companies in the world, offering a modern end-to-end infrastructure “connecting directly to Visa, Mastercard, and consumers’ globally preferred payment methods.”

Adyen “delivers frictionless payments across online, mobile, and in-store channels.” With business offices across the globe, Adyen serves clients including Facebook, Uber, Spotify, Casper, Bonobos and L’Oreal.
