UK’s Prime Property Finance Platform CapitalRise Makes Several Key Appointments, After Strong H1 2021 Business Growth

UK-based CapitalRise, a prime property finance platform, has announced that it made several new appointments, after recording significant growth during H1 2021.

As part of a strong year, in terms of overall performance, CapitalRise has now funded prime real estate assets valued at more than £500 million GDV in prime locations across London and the South East.

The new appointments made in the platform’s investing division are as follows:

Mark Cecil is joining as a partner and is tasked with supporting the growth of CapitalRise’s institutional customer base. Cecil brings over 3 decades of professional experience, focused on the hedge fund sector and was also a founding partner at Jabre Capital Partners, which is notably one of the most established European hedge funds.

David Jenkins is joining as the Head of Product and will be focusing on defining and supporting the overall strategy of the CapitalRise platform. He brings considerable digital technology expertise and product development know-how, having created various tech services for customers such as ASOS, Costa Coffee, and Travis Perkins.

Charlie Mahalski is joining CapitalRise as a professional investor relations specialist. Charlie will be tasked with managing and expanding CapitalRise’s investor relationships unit and he will also assist investors with effectively managing their portfolios, as well as helping them with stayiing informed about potential investment deals.

Mahalski is an experienced account management professional with a sharp focus in finance, investor relations, project management, and handling government affairs.

Pip Lashko-Sayers is joining the firm as Institutional Capital Client Manager. Previously working as a Relationship Manager at Danske Bank, Pop brings a lot of experience in managing and maintaining strategic business relationships with US and UK-based fund manager and hedge fund portfolios.

As part of a solid year which has seen many professionals joining the team across the board, CapitalRise has made additional appointments to strengthen its lending unit, including:

Lee Francis will reportedly be joining the CapitalRise lending division as Lending Director. Francis will be responsible for managing various operations including originating, structuring, and carrying out real estate debt transactions, and will mainly be focusing on quality assets within Prime London and Prime Home Counties.

Francis possesses considerable experience working in similar roles, having previously served in key development finance and banking positions for well over 20 years.

Lisa Singh is joining the firm as an Associate Director and will be responsible for taking care of originating as well as handling broker and borrower relationships. She’ll also be tasked with managing an extensive property development portfolio. Lisa brings over two decades of professional experience in banking and property finance with her and joins the firm from West One Loans.
