Till Payments Adds Alipay to Education Offering via Alipay+ Partnership

International payments Fintech, Till Payments recently announced a partnership with Alipay+, a suite of cross-border payments and marketing solutions operated by Ant Group, in order to integrate Alipay into its Education product offering while exploring the potential integration of other virtual payment methods offered by Alipay+.

Till’s education offering has been specifically developed for higher education institutions in order to support the “revival” of Australia’s $20B global education market, which has significantly declined due mainly to border closures and COVID-19 related restrictions.

As part of the collaboration, business partners and merchants using the offering may accept international student tuition fees through Alipay. The product aims to provide fast integrations into widely-used campus commerce systems, offering key insights and providing an improved way to take care of tuition payments.

Fleur Garcia, Head of Merchant Engagement & Strategy, Till Payments, stated that globalization is driving the requirement for a new generation of payment services that seamlessly support international movement as well as trade.

Garcia added:

“Our experiences as consumers, as businesses, as individuals are becoming hyper-globalised. Thanks to the internet and digital technologies, many of us now have the world at our fingertips and the exponential uptick in global trade via eCommerce, at a time during the pandemic when physical borders were closed, is a testament to the power and potential of modern globalization.”

She also mentioned:

“Our global economy is calling for a payments experience that is borderless, inclusive and, most importantly, seamless. We’re thrilled to partner with Alipay+ to deliver this need to our merchants, partners and the end-consumer.”

Till’s Education offering is reportedly the first product to launch off the back of the Fintech company’s working relationship with Alipay+.

The payments Fintech is focused on further expanding the scope/nature of the collaboration in the foreseeable future with innovative products, developed to offer borderless payments for Australian businesses and across the globe.

Till claims it is the “fast-moving,” Aussie-born, global fintech “disruptor” that is opening up a “world of possibilities” for businesses looking for seamless, all-in-one payments.

The firm takes the “complexity” out of getting paid with ‘single-source” solutions that ensure merchants and partners are able to accept any payment wherever and whenever their customers shop, “be it online, in-store, or a combination of both.”
